VEXUS is an American Heavy Metal band from the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. Formed during quarantine in the 2020 pandemic when Nathan Queen (Rhythm/Vox) and Joel Rios (Bass), who were collaborating on a different project, invited Eric Woodrum (Lead) and Julian Banks (Drums) to fill out parts on several songs that eventually became the ‘Into the Black’ LP. Banks exited the lineup in early 2021, and was never recorded with Vexus. Allyn Kohlrusch (Drums) was recruited to take his place. With that lineup the ‘Cold as Ice’ Single was recorded and released. Soon after Woodrum exited the lineup, and Randy Hampton (Lead) was recruited to take his place. With that lineup the ‘Into the Black’ LP was recorded and released at the end of 2022.
